Flexibility is a forté
We go out of our way to accommodate the schedules and lifestyles of members of our team. Whether you want to work full time as an employee, part time as a contractor, or 10-hour shifts on Tuesdays and Thursdays in even-numbered quarters, we’ll do our best to make it work for you. Taking planned unpaid time off is always an option.
Fully remote
Harmonic Northwest is a fully remote, office-less company. When you work with us, you will be working on your own computer from your home or workspace. We use tools such as Slack, Zoom and Basecamp to stay connected to each other and to our projects.
Grow your skills
Working with Harmonic Northwest as a junior or mid-level developer, you’ll have the opportunity to learn dozens of coding and software systems and have a team of expert developers at your disposal to answer your questions and help guide you through tricky tasks. We are proud of both the professional growth of our long-term employees as well as the impressive jobs some of junior hires have ended up in after their stints at Harmonic Northwest.
For more senior level folks, you’ll often be able to pick the frameworks you’re working with and have opportunities to learn new ones—we are big on always trying to use the right technology to solve problems, even if that means learning something new.
And everybody on our team benefits from the wide range of experirence of the developers who pontificate in our Slack group and relay their experiences in informal real time get-togethers (i.e. game nights).
What if I’m not a developer?
That’s okay, we do engage with non-developers to help with our projects, too! If you’re a designer, UX specialist, SEO guru, analytics wiz, copywriter, photographer, video editor, technical project manager or are able to contribute to website and web application builds in other ways, we’d be happy to hear from you.
