So you have probably just finished perusing the home page and are looking to learn more about what our company really does and how we might work together. That’s great, we’re so glad you made it this far!
Below are some details on our processes and capabilities that will give you some insight on what a partnership with Harmonic Northwest might look like.
What we do and where we excel
We can (and do!) coordinate all of the parts of putting together websites and web applications, but development is our focus. Our team of developers has a wide breadth and depth of skill sets ranging from Shopify to React to enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. We have a special talent for creating highly customized WordPress sites that are easy for non-technical users to manage.
We work especially well with large organizations that have marketing departments and a clear picture of their development needs. Typically we get involved in projects after marketing goals and high-level strategy have been established and when the design process is about to kick off. During that design process we are able to give valuable feedback on SEO strategy, recommend technologies you may not be aware of to facilitate the kinds of user interactions you want and offer suggestions to make sure you’re keeping on track with your budget and timelines.
Our forte is building medium-to-large sites and providing ongoing support. We love continuing to make updates to sites over time to achieve more and more of your business objectives through a process of continuous improvement.
We also excel in providing exceedingly friendly service. We feel that our group of developers is about the nicest bunch of folks around and you may very well find yourself looking forward to our meetings together and seeing our smiling faces on the other end of our Zoom calls.

Our team has tons of experience working with the leading technologies shaping today’s web. We love working with Shopify, WordPress, Next.js, React, headless, Laravel and many many more. Odds are we know a great framework for whatever you want to build.
Teamwork makes the dream work
Our amazing team consists of a mix of employees and contractors working full time and part time with Harmonic Northwest. Some of us specialize in various front end and back end technologies and others are a bit of jack-of-all-trades who can do wireframing, design, copywriting and video. Typically when you work with Harmonic Northwest you will be corresponding directly with the developers on your project.

Transparent, flexible billing
Harmonic Northwest is happy to do fixed bid pricing when necessary but typically we prefer to do hourly billing based on actual hours consumed. We feel that hourly billing gives clients the best value and makes the budgeting process more straightforward for everybody. When going with an hourly billing arrangement, we will provide estimates for every facet of the work and provide excellent communication on project progress and budget outlook while we are working. Note that for agency clients, we only do hourly billing.
Our rates (outlined on our Rates page) vary based on type of task and the experience level of the individual doing the work. Our goal is to give clients a similar value on rates for any particular developer. That means you’ll see a lower cost for junior and mid-level developers and a higher cost for our more experienced staff. This allows us to be very transparent in our billing (i.e. you will know exactly how many hours are being billed on a per-person basis) and gives us the opportunity to use lower-cost developers when it is practical.

Agency work is a big part of our bottom line here at Harmonic Northwest and we love partnering with agencies on projects. When working together, you can always expect prompt communication and attentiveness to budget and timelines. We can help out with e-commerce, static websites, CMS-driven websites and custom email templates.
Harmonic Northwest can “white label” its services, meaning we can use your email domain and project management systems to communicate with your team and your clients. We work seamlessly with your organization to increase your capabilities and to take on the difficult technical pieces of your projects.
